The Ford Taurus SHO (Super High Output) is a mid size performance sedan trim level on the Ford Taurus that was originally produced by the Ford Motor Company from 1989 until 1999, and will return starting in the 2010 model year. Performance

The only transmission available is a six-speed-automatic with drive and manual modes. When pressed, it does a good job of holding revs right up to redline. For the transmission’s manual mode, paddle shifters let you move through the gears sequentially. The SHO version is fitted with a unique suspension and is able to blast from 0 to 60 mph in just 5 seconds.
